What is Mediation?

Mediation is an effective method of resolving family law issues that does not utilize the court system — allowing the clients to be in charge of the decision making process.  This allows the separating couple to:

  •  Resolve differences in a constructive rather than a destructive manner.

  • Improve and preserve rather than destroy a relationship so that parents can work together to raise children.

  • Identify and implement the best of all possible settlement options with the support of an experienced family law lawyer.

What is Collaborative Law?

Collaborative Practice is an approach that focuses on identifying the needs of the individuals involved, including their children, and then engaging in discussions with both lawyers and clients present in order to establish the best solution for each specific circumstance.

It is a process designed to prevent permanent damage to relationships (even difficult ones) and is characterized by its dedication to dignity and fairness.
